Program

A leadership program tailored for senior managers and small business owners to develop practical skills for leading and growing privately-owned businesses.

Why This Program Matters for Private Business

Leading in a private business is different. It’s hands-on, strategic and personal. The Leadership Development Program is designed for senior managers and small business owners who want the skills, confidence and practical tools to help their business grow. Unlike corporate leadership courses built for big-company bureaucrats, this program is focused on real-world challenges in privately owned businesses – improving results, managing people effectively, and contributing to strategic direction. If you’re ready to lead with impact and help drive the business forward, this program is built for you.

The LDP program isn’t a therory based instruction. It gives attendees practical and actionable insights into being a better leader. Make no mistake, this is not a management course. It’s a leadership program.

How the Program Works (and Why It Delivers)

The Leadership Development Program is a 7-day intensive, delivered in two 3-day residential blocks and a final one-day workshop over three months. It’s designed to help you learn, reflect and apply practical leadership principles in your role immediately. You’ll work with experienced facilitators, business mentors and a network of other private business leaders, tackling challenges that matter—from staff management to strategic thinking. Participants also complete a work-based project, delivering real value to their business while building the capability to take on greater responsibility.

Who It’s For

This program is for senior managers in private businesses and small business owners ready to step up as real business leaders. It recognises that owners need a capable leadership team – and that managers need to understand the realities of running a private business. By the end of the program, you’ll refine your leadership style, improve your ability to manage people and results, and return to work with new tools and clarity to drive the business’s growth and success.

What you will gain from the program
*The Leadership Project

Throughout LDP, participants will complete a company-based project. This is to ensure the best possible outcomes in terms of strengthening
the integration of strategic thinking and action between the business owner and the senior management team. The project will be carefully selected to build on aspects of business development that are central to the company’s strategy.

This project delivers real value to the business and allows participants to apply what they are learning immediately, with visible results.
